Driver Quotes from Round 5 and Round 6 Qualifying

Thomas Accary (#3 Hexis Racing AMR Aston Martin DBRS9) Round 5 Pole Position
"It was a good time.  we did a lot of work on the car yesterday to get a good set up for qualifying and the race.  I think we have a very good chance to win today - I hope we win today!  The car isn't perfect but it is a very good car for the race.  A good day for the team and we will have a good chance to win the race."

Christian Mamerow (#25 Alpina BMW Alpina B6 GT3) - Round 5 P2
"It was Ok, to be honest I had one free lap in the session.  I was pretty quick but on each lap I caught up with another car in front of me so I had a lot of traffic in this session. The one free lap I did get was not perfect for me, I had a lot of oversteer out of the slow corners.  I think I could've driven a low 1 minute 29 lap in this session.  The position is OK for the race but we will have to make changes for the race to be good enough over the whole distance."

Dino Lunardi (#2 Matech GT Racing Ford GT) - Round 5 P3
"Yesterday I made a small mistake, I hit the wall and the car was damaged. The mechanics did a fantastic job to repair the car and to get P3 in my session is very good. We do have a problem with the car's stability on the fast curves so the car will be very difficult to drive for lap after lap. We will see during the race and I will try to save the tyres for Eric and try to take a lot of points."

Christoffer Nygaard (#28 Fischer Racing Ford GT) - Round 5 P5
"I was a little disappointed because I was on a very fast lap and I was catching one of the Porsches, I thought he was a little bit faster but I didn't catch him on my fast lap.  I did my fastest time with an overtaking pass; I'm not pleased with P5, the time is quite good but it could've been a bit with having to overtake the other car, but with P5 I cannot be completely disappointed."

Frederic Makowiecki (#4 Hexis Racing AMR Aston Martin DBRS9) Round 6 Pole Position
"A very good lap! This is very good for the team with Thomas taking pole position in the first session. We worked very well together and I'm very happy for the team. We found a couple of things to make the car better for qualifying and the car very quick at the end of the lap.   I think we can improve two or three more things for the race, so it is looking good."

Marc Basseng (#19 Muehlner Motorsport Porsche 997 GT3 Cup S) Round 6 P2
"It was an OK result, P2 is OK for us, we certainly didn't expect that in the beginning because we had some set up issues.  The tyres from Adria are down from the race, so we had bad rear tyres.  I had to overtake a Lamborghini on the second last corner, so I'm surprised with the time. In the second half of the qualifying session after the red flag I couldn't find any more time, so second place is OK."

Sascha Bert (#36 Zakspeed Racing Competition Coupe S2) Round 6 DNQ
"I was coming around the corner when I saw Thomas Mutsch spinning in front of me.  He had dropped some oil on the track, I spun and we hit.  The chassis is damaged so that is that for the weekend."

Eric de Doncker (#2 Matech GT Racing Ford GT) Round 6 P28
"I started the session quite early, it was good and I was totally blocked by a Ferrari. I was really mad at him as I was on a quick lap with fresh tyres.  Then I had to come in because of the red flag.  We had the same problem as yesterday when the new tyres get cold and then hot again, we have a massive problem with the car.  We don't know why but the car was oversteering and was very difficult to drive. I did my best but unfortunately the second session is really close because all the good drivers are in this session and it doesn't take much to find yourself in 20th place.  We will have to work on the set up before the race because it will be very difficult during the race.  I'm quite mad to be so far back in qualifying."
